Jackson, MS is the Fattest city in America
Congratulations to Jackson, Mississippi for bagging the title of the fattest city in America according to WalletHub's List Of Most Obese Cities in 2017. They compared 100 of the most populated U.S. metro areas across 17 key indicators of weight-related problems. Based on their studies, Jackson is the top city in the nation for diabetes. It took second place spots for the percentage of physically inactive adults and the percentage of adults eating fewer than one serving of fruit or vegetables a day. The city also is the 4th for percentage of adults with high blood pressure, 7th for the percentage of obese adults and two 10th place spots for adults with high cholesterol and access to healthy food. Memphis comes in 2nd.
The San Francisco metro area has the lowest share of obese adults, 17.9% while the San Jose, California, metro area has the lowest share of physically inactive adults, 16.1%, the study shows.
