Diet soda bad for you

This is hardly news but according to France's National Institute of Health and Medical Research study, diet soda may increase your risk of Type 2 diabetes. 66,118 middle-aged women participated in the research and their health and diets were monitored from 1993 to 2007. Results show that drinking artificially sweetened drinks increases the risk of becoming overweight and developing diabetes because it makes your body crave and consume more sweets. Another study also said that diet sodas may increase risk of depression and aspartame, an artificial sweetener may be the cause. And to top it all off, diet sodas may also make you fat (shocker!). Again, aspartame, the culprit, messes with your appetite so that you are never satisfied, making you eat more.
